課程目的：

本課程之主要目的在於使學生熟悉機械工廠與相關產業之工程實務，透過直接參與和觀摩見習瞭解熟悉研發、設計開發、生產製造、管理、和銷售等實務，同時瞭解機械產業的環境、發展與競爭，以激發學生在機械與相關專業上的學習。

課程說明：

1.   請先清楚了解校外實習的相關內容和報告格式

2.   實習工作要自己找,暑假前學期中請注意系上校外實習公告,實習完成後再選課,繳交規定的實習報告和實習公司提供的考核之後,才會有成績和學分。

3.   校外實習時數至少四週計算，總計20個工作天，每個工作天8小時。校外實習時間原則上安排於每年暑期期間。

4.   修課同學請在實習單位與大致實習規劃都確定後，填寫校外實習學生基本資料登記。（使用檔案：Form1校外實習學生基本資料.doc）

5.   實習單位可為國內外機械廠家或相關業者，請自行洽詢或委請系上老師介紹安排。

6.   實習學生必須遵守實習單位之作息，工作態度與出勤狀況由實習單位考核一併列入評分範圍。

7.   實習單位或實習工作有安全疑慮時，實習學生應辦理平安保險。

8.    實習生每週逐日填寫實習工作日誌，以及每週撰寫一份與實習內容相關之實習專題報告，最後一週並多加一份實習綜合感想報告，每週五交給實習單位的實習指導人進行查核與評分。（參考檔案：Instruction校外實習報告撰寫與考核要點.doc。使用檔案：Form2實習工作日誌與報告格式.doc,Form3實習學生考核表.doc）

9.   完整的校外實習報告必須包含封面、校外實習考核表、校外實習學生基本資料、實習工作日誌、實習專題報告和實習綜合感想報告，並按順序整齊裝訂成冊。

10. 校外實習的修課認定首先必須滿足上述校外實習時數的要求，再依據實習報告及實習單位出具之實習學生考核表予以評分。(參考檔案：Form4實習學生考核表.doc）

11. 若實習學生的實習行為和表現不佳，以致嚴重影響校譽者，將提交由系方予以懲處。表現優異者將予以表揚獎勵。

附帶說明:

學期中基本上不可能進行校外實習，必須暑假進行，每天都要到實習場所才能算。實習工作必須自己找，暑假前學期中請注意系上校外實習公告，實習完成後再選課，繳交規定的報告和實習公司提供的考核之後，才會有成績和學分。 

根據多年經驗，台大機械系學生最缺乏的是工程製圖、設計以及加工製造的能力，這也是實習前最好具備一些基礎，否則不容易找到實習機會，實習面談時都會問到實習生的能力，而且一個月到兩個月實習時間是沒有辦法將大學沒有學好的補全的。台灣具備好的實習條件的公司極少，實習制度、實習流程、指導員、耐心都缺，在這樣環境中，實習的同學必須積極主動學習，否則成效不佳。

Course description: 

The aim of this course is to let students be familiar with machine shops and the practical affairs in diverse industrial areas. Through internship and visit in a company student can learn more about research, design and development, production, administration, and marketing affairs. By understanding the industrial environment, development and competition, student will be encouraged to intensively learn in the mechanical and its related disciplines. 

1. The total internship duration must be at least 4 weeks, total 20 days. Every day must have 8 practice hours. In principle, the internship is arranged in summer vacation.

2. After confirming the internship employer and the internship duration, the student must register by filling up the document "Form1-General Information of Internship.doc".

3. The internship report and the evaluation form must be filled up in accordance with the specified requirements and forms as shown in files of Instruction for Internship repor.doc, Form2-Internship Report.doc, and Form3-Internship Evaluation Form.doc)   

Additional Information:

The course "Field Practice" will not recommend any student for any internship chance. Student should search himself/herself for the internship offering. After you completely fulfill the course requirement of "Field Practice", then you can select the course "Field Practice" and bring your internship report and signed evaluation to the authorized professor of this course. Based on the report content and the signed internship evaluation form, the authorized professor of the course "Field Practice" will issue the internship student a formal score and corresponding credit.

Foreign student must have a better capability in Chinese language to acquire an internship chance from Taiwanese companies. Because most Taiwanese companies do not have English-spoken supervisor, therefore they will not offer internship chance for foreign student.
