Mechanical Engineering Announcement of a Teaching Faculty Position: 2021-2022

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Taiwan University seeks outstanding applicants for nontenured-track teaching faculty position at all levels. The department seeks applicants who wish to teach 16 hours of lectures in English per week, among which 9 hours meet the common education need at the Engineering Division, while the remaining hours contribute to the Department’s curriculum. The specific subjects are yet to be discussed upon interview. The applicants with the potential to assist in the laboratory and the engineering practice courses are especially welcome, but not strictly required. A target start date is fall 2021, and the contract is eligible for renewal but contingent upon teaching performance.

Applicants shall provide:

2. A detailed Curriculum Vitae
3. A teaching statement (up to 5 pages)
4. A copy of official doctorate degree certificate (if already acquired)
5. A copy of national identification card (the passport information page for foreign applicants)
6. Certificate(s) of current and past employment (foreign certificates should be the originals)
7. Copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts
8. Contact information of 3 referees

Addition documents are required for those who want to apply for the Teacher Certification issued by Ministry of Education:

10. One representative publication published within five years before the intended starting date and at most five supplemental publications published within seven years before the intended starting date, respectively.
