The Department of Mechanical Engineering is located primarily in the College of Engineering Building (N53) and partially in four other buildings: the Workshop of Mechanical Engineering, the Yonglin Biomedical Engineering Hall, the Department of Mathematics, and the Mathematics Research Center (they are marked as E7, SE72, N27, and N26 on the NTU Map). Other than classrooms and meeting rooms, we have established more than 90 laboratories or centers for teaching and research. Among them are 5 education-oriented laboratories and centers that we consistently renovate: the Measurement and Mechanical Engineering Laboratory, the Mechatronics Laboratory, the Innovative Design and Fabrication Center, the Workshop of Mechanical Engineering, and the Computer Center. The education objective and vision for each of these five teaching units are provided in later sections with more details about the facilities and the involved courses. We also have research centers and many unique experimental facilities developed in each research domain. |
