While pursuing for teaching and research excellency, the Department aims to be an international entity that enriches learning experiences, broadens global visions, and provides rich links to the outside world for both our students and faculty members. Efforts made and the specific results achieved include:
- The Department has signed memoranda of understanding with Technische Universität Ilmenau (TU Ilmenau), Institute of Mechanics of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, City University of Hong Kong, Tongji University, and Institute of Technology Bandung (ITB).
- English lectures are provided for most of the departmental compulsory courses in the undergraduate program.
- Prominent domestic and international researchers from both academia and industry are invited on a weekly base to share state-of-the-art research findings.
- Visiting scholars from prestigious universities and research centers worldwide are welcomed and encouraged to participate in exchange programs.
- The Department organizes or co-sponsors domestic or international symposiums and workshops throughout the year.
- Our faculty and students are encouraged to actively present their research at international conferences and participate in international competitions.
