This Museum, grounded in engineering studies and enriched by the humanities and arts, showcased in the museum, serves as a bridge to society. The Old Mechanical Engineering Building at NTU was constructed in 1943 during the Japanese colonial period. It was registered as a historic building in Taipei City in 2015. Following extensive restoration and the initiatives of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, this historic building now opens to the public as the "NTU Museum of Engineering" and begins a new chapter in the story of this space for the present and future.

Department of Mechanical Engineering and Tsung Cho Chang Hall are interconnected north-to-south via a skybridge, forming a building complex that includes an auditorium, classrooms, hands-on teaching spaces, laboratories, study areas, and more. In the south of the lot, the old Mechanical Engineering Hall from the Taihoku Imperial University era was repurposed as the NTU Museum of Engineering, where artifacts related to the history and education of engineering will be exhibited.
